Description

Starting with dinner on Wednesday night, September 3, this trip for AACG members will be filled with exciting and very different activities from our previous trips. The cost is $1250 per person, and includes all lunches and dinners, transportation, and admission fees. Register now to reserve your spot. Payments will be fully refundable up to June 30, less a $50 administrative fee. After that date, the money will only be refundable, less the administrative fee, if you can be replaced by someone on the waiting list. Travel insurance is recommended. A $300 per person tax-deductible donation to AACG is included in the cost. The cost does not include your transportation to and from Philadelphia, airport transfers, hotel, or travel insurance. Our hotel is the Hyatt Centric City Center near Rittenhouse Square. Wednesday, September 3
Dinner at Spice Finch across the street from the Hyatt.

Thursday, September 4

  • Visit to the Michener Museum in Doyelstown, PA to see Judith Schaechter's new fabulous installation.

  • Lunch at Rago Arts and a behind-the-scenes tour of the auction house, with a preview of the September glass auction items.

  • Tour of the Tyler School of the Arts in Philadelphia and a special exclusive exhibition of works in glass by staff and alumni.

  • Visit to a very amazing Philadelphia penhouse art collection where a cocktail party is being thrown in our honor.

  • Dinner at Rittenhouse Grill, across the street from the Hyatt.

Friday, September 5

  • Visit to the wonderful home and collection of AACG members in Cherry Hill, NJ.

  • Lunch at the picturesque restaurant at Grounds for Sculpture, then enjoy docent tours of the outdoor sculpture park.

  • Visit to the spectacular collection of an AACG member in New Jersey, where you will enjoy snacks and wine before dinner.

  • Dinner at Fresco restaurant.

Saturday, September 6
Travel to WheatonArts in Millville, NJ for Wheaton Gather, where we will:

  • Hear a panel discussion about collecting, the inaugural program of a new AACG educational series for collectors.

  • Enjoy the WheatonArts grounds with box lunches.

  • Take docent led tours in the Museum of American Glass of the AACG grantee exhibition,
    American Contemporary Glass: Selections from the Linda and Henry Wasserstein Collection.

  • Enjoy glassblowing demonstrations in the beautiful WheatonArts hot shop, which has stadium seating.

  • Visit the various gallery stores on the WheatonArts grounds for a shopping opportunity.

  • Schmooz with all the Wheaton Gather guests at a lovely cocktail party in the Museum of American Glass.

Have our closing dinner at Filomena Lakeview restaurant on the way back to our hotel in Philadelphia.
